Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons has joined the pilot of HBO’s , an adaptation of the seminal comic by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Although no details have been revealed about his role on Damon Lindelof’s series, reports he’ll play “an aging and imperious lord of a British manor.” RELATED: Lindelof has been clear , which he’s described as “sacred.” “Those issues are sacred ground and they will not be retread nor recreated nor reproduced nor rebooted,” he wrote. “They will however be remixed.” As such, the series’ official logline reads, “Set in an alternate history where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.” Watchmen will mark Irons’ return to television following his Emmy Award-winning role in Showtime’s historical drama The Borgias, which aired from 2011 to 2013. An acclaimed actor whose film credits include Dead Ringers, The Lion King and Reversal of Fortune, Irons also played Alfred Pennyworth in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Joe Quesada is celebrating the premiere of Luke Cage‘s second season by sharing some haunting new artwork highlighting the Hero of Harlem. The prolific artist and Marvel Chief Creative Officer illustrated an atmospheric piece of Cage in his trademark hoodie holding a flaming heart wrapped in barbed wire. Inspired by the more mystical-infused second season, Quesada shared his original art piece on Twitter. There were actually two version of this piece. This second one gives the smoke more of an angle wind feel. was instrumental in the concept as his script for episode one describe the visual in wonderful detail. It might be tempting to think that is a product of its time, but a new concert opening video for Portugal. The Man proves that the duo is, in fact, timeless. The video sees the wisecracking animated hecklers doing what they do best to the music video for Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still,” until the video takes an unexpected turn. Created by Mike Judge, Beavis and Butt-Head aired on MTV from 1993 until 1997. It was revived in 2011 for a short-lived eighth season. The series starred two slackers, Beavis and Butt-Head, who did little more than sit in their apartment and heckle music videos on their television. The series became a pop culture phenomenon in the ‘90s and was even adapted into a movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, in 1996. The 2011 revival’s ratings ended up making the show one of MTV’s most popular at the time, but network eventually passed up on renewing it due to a change in its target demographic. has perhaps more cast upheaval every year than all the other CW superhero shows combined, but one of those changes will not be Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, as the actor confirmed on Twitter today that she will, in fact, return for Season 3 of the hit series. Just recently, it was revealed that , leaving after the Season 4 premiere. However, despite Amaya seemingly leaving the team at the end of Season 3, when she volunteered to re-enter the timeline even knowing that it would lead to her eventual death in her future, that will not be the end of Richardson-Sellers’ tenure on the series.
