, the supernatural horror drama based on the comic by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta, has been canceled by Cinemax after two seasons.
That likely doesn’t come as a surprise as viewers, as the series seemed to enter a domestic limbo following its first season. Renewed even before its 2016 series premiere, , but didn’t resurface in the United States until July 2018.

Cinemax confirmed in a statement to that, “There are no further plans for Outcast at this time.” The outlet notes that cast options “expired long ago” for a series that was expensive to produce yet never really paid dividends in terms of ratings or critical acclaim.
Outcast starred Patrick Fugit as Kyle Barnes, a young man plagued by demonic possession since childhood. Rejected by the people of fictional Rome, West Virginia, for allegedly harming his wife and daughter, he nevertheless offers to help a minister grappling with a boy who shows signs of possession, which sends him on a journey to uncover answers.
The series was produced by Circle of Confusion, Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, and Fox International Studios, which THR points out was shuttered in late 2017. Co-creator of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, Kirkman served as an executive producer on Outcast, and wrote a pair of Season 1 episodes.

Kate's season three storyline on is already making us emotional as we watch her go on a journey toward parenthood. This being This Is Us, the characters can't move forward without looking back, though, and it seems that teen Kate's life post-losing her father is still impacting adult Kate's decisions. Thankfully, the show has the perfect guide in on the hit NBC series.
Zeile bears a striking resemblance to Chrissy Metz, who plays adult Kate, but that's definitely not the only reason this young actress was cast to take on the character's difficult teen years. The 20-year-old's talent is apparent in scenes in which she plays the beginning of Kate's eating disorder or conveys with nothing more than a look. She excels at channeling all of the angst, pain, and self-doubt that still plague the character of Kate Pearson to this day. What makes Zeile's take on Kate all the more impressive is that this is her first major role.
She may seem like an old pro, but prior to This Is Us, Zeile's only other TV role was a two-episode stint on . In 2012, she played the role of Ruby on a recurring basis. Afterward, she took a break from acting in order to finish high school. Now that she's officially a high school graduate, Zeile seems poised to make her mark on Hollywood, and she's starting her career off right by playing the younger version of one of TV's most complex women.
That doesn't mean she can't take a little detour now and then, though. Kate's teen years are hardly a barrel of laughs, but earlier this year, Zeile stopped by Netflix's The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale to play an eager record store customer. That just goes to show that this young actress is already proving she can play pretty much anything that Hollywood puts in front of her, but for now, we're just excited to see where she takes Kate next.
The upcoming from Iron Man director Jon Favreau may have a man from Westeros in its cast.
According to , Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal is being eyed for the central lead in the upcoming sci-fi series, which is expected to take place between the events of The Force Awakens and 1983’s Return of the Jedi. The series, currently untitled and believed to currently be shooting, is supposedly about the restoration of Mandalore, which fell to pieces during the Clone Wars. Mandalore has been featured prominently in both animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
RELATED:
Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell during the fourth season of Thrones, starred in Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle as well as the Netflix series Narcos during its first three seasons. Next year, he’ll join the DC Extended Universe in Wonder Woman 1984 in a currently undisclosed role (, as previously speculated).
At this time, it’s currently a rumor that Pascal has joined the series. Thus far, he’s the only piece of casting news surrounding the show.
The as-yet untitled Star Wars series is set to debut on the Disney Play streaming service in 2019.

It is unclear what exactly the ritual they are performing is meant to accomplish, although it does apparently involve a large pentagram, candles, a figure at the center of it all and five people chanting an incantation. Moreover, and perhaps more interestingly, this ritual may not be for the faint of heart, as one of the Weird Sisters seems rather apprehensive about going through with it. Whatever the case may be, viewers will likely get a few more answers when the full trailer drops tomorrow.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle and Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood. The series premieres Oct. 26 on Netflix.
