In addition to cranking out horror films left and right, Netflix has found its niche in . Whether it's the coming-of-age storylines found in or the , there are options out there for everyone. And, if you're a person who likes , it seems the streaming platform's newest option will be right up your alley. The Society doesn't arrive on Netflix until May, but the basic plot has already been released, as well as the trailer and a few official photos. The 10-episode series from showrunner Chris Keyser will follow a group of teenagers who are "mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town," but soon discover their parents are nowhere to be found. Related: It doesn't take long to realize that their newfound freedom is both thrilling and exceptionally dangerous, as alliances are formed and a new kind of order is established. And as we can see from the released trailer, "things got bad" very quickly, very dangerously. (So, essentially Lord of the Flies, but with a bunch of rich kids in New England.) In addition to in-fighting and backstabbing, the group will also face the struggle of how they're going to get home, which we're guessing won't be easy. will lead the cast as characters named Allie and Becca (respectively), while Sierra Burgess Is a Loser's Kristine Froseth will portray a teen named Kelly. Welcome to Game of Thrones: MVP of the Week, a weekly feature in which we crown the character who stands out most during each episode of season eight. The MVP may have had the most kills, given the best monologue, or died the most heroic death. (Hey, we're just covering all our bases!) I'm going to be honest: nothing about Sunday's episode of goes the way I thought it would. Of course, I knew there were going to be some devastating goodbyes (Alfie Allen deserves ALL the awards for his work as Theon, like, wow) and the battle scenes were going to be a little hard to watch - though I thought that would be for emotional reasons, - but I definitely didn't expect the Battle of Winterfell ! Arya Stark, first of her name, really creeps through the wreckage of her family home and straight-up . Melisandre sashays her way into Winterfell and for the Northerners. How could I not declare these two badasses as the winners of this week's MVP award? They are pivotal in ending the Battle of Winterfell and saving the whole damn Seven Kingdoms from a seasons-long menace. And yes, I get it, everyone does their part during this war. But there's absolutely no denying that without these two leading ladies, the Battle of Winterfell would have been a whole lot bloodier. Keep reading to rejoice in the greatness that these two women bring to "The Long Night," and pay your respects to our runners-up, because they're important, too! Related:

Warning: minor spoilers for ahead. Proceed with caution. Thanks to the end credits of and from Avengers: Endgame, fans knew Carol Danvers would be among the heroic crew in this latest installment. What many fans weren't expecting, however, was . Five years after the pared-down Avengers group "killed" Thanos, a Captain Marvel hologram participates in a call with Black Widow, War Machine, Rocket, and Okoye. Instead of the shoulder- to mid-length look she shows off at the beginning of the film and in her own movie, Captain Marvel sports a shorter, military-style cut during the call. Her new look may come as a surprise, but according to her comic book story arc, we all should've seen this coming. There's no telling what Captain Marvel was up to in those five years, and, no, we don't get to see her hair get chopped. Her cropped hair, though, does follow gave her in the 2012 comics. She leaned heavily into Captain Marvel's fighter pilot past to inform the look, and swapped the length for something edgier. Perhaps we'll find out exactly what she was up to in those five years during . Fingers crossed!

Yep, you guys . . . she does it! She kills the Night King!! Just as it seems like she's lost all hope, in steps - surprise! - Melisandre, who knows exactly what Arya needs to hear. "What do we say to the god of death?" she asks Arya. "Not today," says Arya. Not today, indeed, because the next time we see Arya, she's pouncing on the unsuspecting Night King right as he stands in front of Bran. She stabs The Night King, and it's pretty much impossible NOT to cheer aloud watching all the White Walkers fall right along with The Night King. Still catching your breath over that incredible scene? You aren't alone. Viewers took to Twitter immediately to cheer for Arya's badass moment - which, let's be real, is quite an understatement. A new horror series, , is now streaming on Netflix, which is exciting for a number of reasons. While it's not the same type of eerie familial horror that launched The Haunting of Hill House to near-instant success, it's still a solid, creepy story that only gets weirder with each subsequent episode. The series follows , who soon finds her life entangled with that of her heart donor's family () in increasingly sinister ways. It won't take long before you have one question repeating over and over again in your mind: what, exactly, is wrong with Sasha's new heart? Warning: Spoilers for season one of Chambers to follow, so proceed with caution! The answer isn't black and white. To be blunt, there's a lot of stuff wrong with the organ, but everything comes down to the young, troubled woman whose life had to end so that Sasha could have her heart: Becky Lefevre (Lilliya Scarlett Reid). If you ask her parents, she was an angelic daughter and promising student with dreams of going to an Ivy league university. If you ask girls who went to high school with Becky, they'd say she was a pretty, blond mean girl with a malevolent edge to her personality. In truth, Becky was both. As you get further and further into the series, two main themes come into play. The first is that Sasha starts taking on more and more characteristics of the deceased - finding blonde streaks in her dark hair, suddenly becoming great at math and fencing, and signing Becky's name on her tests, among other things. The second is that it becomes crystal clear that Becky's parents, Nancy (Thurman) and Ben (Goldwyn), are involved in a New Age-y cult called called The Annex. Related: When Becky dies they pull their son, Becky's brother Elliott (Nicholas Galitzine), from the Annex's questionable rehab facility, but it's obvious that there's something much darker at the heart of the faux-religious center other than pastel-colored crystals and meditation sessions. Sasha doesn't interact with the Annex much herself, but thanks to visions that show her Becky's memories (especially of the stormy night that she seems to have died from suicide), she's able to piece together that the Annex did something strange to Becky that turned her from an average Regina George into a violent shell of herself (one who enjoys cutting the tails off rats and attempting to burn her friends to death in a steam room). Sasha begins having similar, increasingly bizarre urges after the transplant, to the point that her best friend, Yvonne (Kyanna Simone Simpson), and boyfriend, TJ (Griffin Powell-Arcand), start to alienate her. Towards the end of the season, though, Sasha makes a break in the case of what really happened to Becky: she was unknowingly chosen by the Annex to be a human vessel for a special, demonic entity. School counselor and "life coach," Jones (Michael Stahl-David), who works at Sasha and Becky's school, is the one who helped organize the ceremony, and Becky being the sacrificial lamb (so to speak) was even approved by her own father, Ben. (Nancy had no idea.) As Sasha sees in a terrifying vision, masked, robed cult members took Becky into a secluded area of the desert one night, tied her to a rock, and summoned a cloud of evil black smoke. It turns out the smoke was , who the Annex believed would inhabit Becky's body and transform her from an average human into an all-powerful being capable of "healing the world." Becky isn't thrilled with being "violated" by a cult (can't say we'd be either, for what it's worth) and rejects Lilith's presence in her body. It's the push and pull between Becky's soul and Lilith's energy that spurs Becky into violence. That's why Becky killed herself - she wanted to be free of the demon trying to possess her. Unfortunately, when Becky's heart was transplanted into Sasha's body, both her and Lilith's presences went with it, so now the three of them have been locked in a battle of wills. In the end, Sasha "kills" the last piece of Becky still lurking inside her, thinking she'll be free once and for all. The last scene of the season, however, confirms that Lilith never left; instead, it seems that Sasha is a strong enough vessel for the demon who is now able to use her powers. For example, upon hearing this revelation from the Annex's leader, played by The Conjuring's Lili Taylor, Sasha instantly heals the huge heart surgery scar on her chest. Overall, though, she seems rattled by the news that there's an all-powerful demon living inside her and isn't into the idea of being the mascot for the Annex. Season one leaves off on a cliffhanger, but if you ask us, it seems like Sasha is about to go rogue with her newfound abilities. Can't say we blame her.

Ever since Bran Stark began his journey to become the Three-Eyed Raven in earnest, we've been wondering what his endgame on is. The full span of , but he's powerful and he always of everyone else - even though he rarely shares what he knows until he deems it necessary. We've theorized almost every end to his story, from him being discovered as to the ever-popular theory that . With such a complex character, it's no surprise that people envision his path taking so many different turns. And the latest theory to intrigue fans begs the question, what if Bran uses to turn himself into the ultimate weapon against Night King - a White Walker just like him? Related: In of the final season, House Stark and all its allies come together to plan for their fight against the Night King and his army. They know they're outnumbered, but they have a sound strategy that banks on the idea that those marching in his army, since it works that way with the White Walkers. Bran himself suggests that they use him as bait , and everyone agrees, with the condition that in the Godswood. This sets the scene for the eventual turning of Bran Stark. posits that Bran will have Theon shoot him through the heart with a dragonglass arrow against , the same way the Children of the Forest turned one of the First Men into who would later . Cabtx theorizes that turning Bran into a White Walker will make him the only weapon that can truly defeat the Night King: a being with powers of greensight, warging, and the knowledge of the Three-Eyed Raven. In fact, he would basically be another Night King. Why does this need Theon? By helping fulfill Bran's wish, Theon will officially close out his redemption arc. He's been trying to make up for his deeds against House Stark under the torment of Ramsay Bolton, and this last act would be the deed that cements his redemption. The only bug in this plan is that have magic that we're pretty sure neither Bran or Theon is able to replicate. It goes beyond their use of , which the Night King has used as his signature (and a sort of middle-finger to his creators). It's actually because of his use of the pattern that we know the pattern itself isn't magic - if it were, all the times we've seen it before would have probably gone a bit differently. Bran would need more than just dragonglass through the heart to make him a White Walker, though, and the only person who seems to have that ability is the Night King. We don't think he'll be willing to lend either boy a bit of his mojo to make the theory pan out. Even though we don't think Bran turning into a White Walker is likely, Theon's offer to guard him is definitely another step towards his redemption. He and betrayed his family, so there's no doubt he feels it's his duty to protect the young man he used to consider a (sort of) brother. We have a feeling that when he sacrifices his life to keep Bran safe, a fitting goodbye for the man who has wanted nothing more than to atone for his sins. He'll always live on, though, because "."
