Director Jordan Peele has reunited with composer Michael Abels to create a chilling score for his latest horror thriller . Fans of the film's trailer have already experienced the eerie nature of their , and Abels recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the by using sound as a precursor to the thrills. "There are times you want to foreshadow what's coming and other times you want to deliberately not foreshadow what's coming," explained Abels. "Some scares are the type of dread where you know it's coming, and others aren't. So we do spend a lot of time talking about what kind of scare something's going to be, whether it's a jump-at-you, or a slow-burn." In addition to Abels's captivating score, the soundtrack features tunes such as Janelle Monáe's "I Like That" and Minnie Riperton's "Les Fleurs." How many times can John Wick face down certain death and emerge unscathed? Hopefully the answer is "the limit does not exist," because I personally will never tire of watching hurl himself around dimly lit hotel lobbies as he tries to dodge bullets, knives, and every other dangerous weapon known to mankind in the action-packed film franchise. That's exactly what he does in the slick trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, which sees Reeves's superassassin character on the run after murdering a fellow member of the High Table (an international assassins guild). With a hefty $14 million price tag on his head, he becomes an attractive target for the world's most dangerous killers. Fortunately, he has friends in both high and low places, like the vengeful Sofia (), for instance. Watch the trailer for the movie above - which also stars Ian McShane, Asia Kate Dillon, Jason Mantzoukas, and more - before it explodes into theaters on May 17.

We've been mentally preparing for weeks to finally watch Jordan Peele's new scary movie Us. Besides being excited for the film's , we're also thrilled to see what this brings to the big screen. The lineup includes Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, , and Tim Heidecker. In case you haven't put it together, this film is not the first time Nyong'o and Duke have collaborated. The two both starred in last year's game-changing blockbuster Black Panther. Duke played the role of M'Baku, the leader of the Jabari tribe who poses a huge threat to T'Challa in the beginning of the film. In fact, according to , his Black Panther role almost cost the actor his chance to play Gabe Wilson, because Peele was worried it would hinder the audience's fear response. "It would take away from our ability to feel afraid [for the family] if they have M'Baku on their side," Peele explained. "[However], Winston had this charisma that just stole scenes and really left an impression." Duke reprised his role of M'Baku in The Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, and yes, he will be back for Avengers: Endgame this year. Beyond Marvel's franchise films, Duke has also made a name for himself in a variety of television series. In 2016, he played Dwight, a hilarious high school football player, in Modern Family. Prior to that, he played Zahir Zakaria in the 2015 television series The Messengers. And, he had a huge part from 2014 to 2015 on the series Person of Interest. He portrayed Dominic, or Mini, the leader of a drug gang called the Brotherhood. In the future, alongside his appearance in Avengers: Endgame, you can also expect to see the actor in 2019's Wonderland, a Peter Berg-directed film also starring . Until then, we'll just have to let Duke scare the living daylights out of us in Us.

If , so will the year of horror. Almost a year after Netflix (an instant classic, if only for ), the author of Bird Box has confirmed that he's written a sequel. That's right, we're not done with just yet, folks! In on March 18, author Josh Malerman revealed that the written sequel to Bird Box is titled Malorie, and will be released on Oct. 1. The story will take place eight years after the events of the first book and center on our heroine, played by in the Netflix film. "In the time between Bird Box coming out and the time since I've been writing Malorie, I've been asked a ton of times: people want to know what happened with Boy and Girl. But as much as I care about Boy and Girl, this isn't their story," Malerman said. "The Bird Box world is Malorie's story, and I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to get to know her even better. At the end of the movie, I turned to my girl Allison and said, 'I want to know what happens next!' and she's like, 'Well, you know, you could make that happen,' so it really was this warm feeling." Sorry, Girl and Boy - I mean, Olympia and Tom. While Malerman did divulge that we'll be getting to know better in Malorie, he wouldn't say whether there's any resolution on where the monsters came actually from. We hope Netflix is keeping its eye on the prize here. Though we definitely don't need another "," we wouldn't say no to a sequel also .
