Warning: Big, BIG ol' spoilers for Us below! Given merely the trailer for spawned a few months back, it shouldn't come as any surprise that the film itself has since had audiences across the world collectively shaking their heads as they attempt to decode woven into the fabric of . But a recent theory on Reddit is so insane (and also plausible) that it's attracting plenty of buzz: Could the little boy we know as Jason actually be Pluto all along? Reddit user to the /r/FanTheories section of the site, one that hones in on how Jason and , might have switched places. They write: "I believe the Summer before the movie takes place, the boy and his 'tethered' also switched places . . . At the end, he has realized that his mother, at one point, has also switched bodies. She gives him a look almost like 'I also know what you know' and then he puts on his mask, as a symbol of the masks they will now wear for the rest of their lives." Did you hear that sound? It was me, gasping for breath at the possibility that could actually be what Peele intended. And you know what? It actually holds a bit of water when you take a closer look at Jason's arc throughout the film. Let's dive in, shall we? Image Source: Universal To understand why the two of the little boys switching places is so important (and so terrifying), we have to remember the origin of Lupita Nyong'o's character, Adelaide. Long before she's the paranoid suburban mom to young Jason and teenager , she was just your average pre-teen getting taken to the Santa Cruz boardwalk for her birthday by her parents. But during that trip, the real Adelaide wanders off by herself into a hall of mirrors and is captured by her own doppelgänger, another little girl named Red, who looks exactly like her from her face to her choice of clothing. Red proceeds to drag Adelaide down to the tunnels and trap here there with the rest of the Tethered. The doppelgänger essentially then steals the real Adelaide's life, going back to her parents and living above ground. At when Adelaide and Red fight to the death in the underground tunnels beneath the boardwalk. Their fatal interaction reveals that the seemingly "normal" woman we've been watching all along was actually born a member of the mysterious, "evil" Tethered race. Related: So, what does this have to do with Jason? Well, as hoopsterben writes in their theory, "I believe the Summer before the movie takes place the boy and his 'tethered' also switched places." Earlier on in the film, Zora makes a reference earlier to her little brother going missing after he got stuck in the closet of the family's vacation home the previous year. But what if it wasn't the year before, but a few years before? Pluto, Jason's doppelgänger, could've switched places with him during that absence, and the longer time period could give the Tethered boy long enough to learn how to properly speak. Meanwhile, this could explain why Pluto scampers around on all fours like a toddler, and also why "Jason" is so withdrawn, preferring to play in the darkness of the closet than with his sister. There are also a few other things to consider. Image Source: Universal The Magic Trick Remember that device that Jason has on his hand throughout the film, that he keeps snapping in an attempt to make it burst into flame? As he notes over and over again, he "forgot" how the magic trick worked between the family's last trip to the beach and their current trip. But what if he didn't actually forget it - he had to re-learn it entirely? Hoopsterben posits that the original Jason "learned it successfully and burnt half of his face off in the process," which explains why his Tethered would only have a slight memory of learning how to do it trick. The Drawing of the 11:11 Man During Adelaide's flashback she encounters a man on the boardwalk holding up a cardboard sign . In the present timeline, Jason strays from his family at the same beach and bumps into the same man, only this time he's wearing a Tethered jumpsuit and has blood all over him. At night while tucking in Jason, Adelaide sees he's drawn his interaction with the Tethered man in crayon, depicting the back of his own head looking in the direction of the back of the Jeremiah 11:11 man. Naturally Adelaide is rattled by the image. What's interesting about this little detail is that when Adelaide was replaced by her Tethered doppelgänger, her parents took her to therapy to try to figure out why their daughter was all of a sudden refusing to speak and seemed devoid of emotion. The therapist, diagnosing her with PTSD from her boardwalk encounter, suggest they have Adelaide draw to express herself. Coincidence? Or something more?! Image Source: Universal The Beach Tunnels Meeting the 11:11 man isn't the only odd thing that people on Reddit have noticed about Jason's day out at the beach. While Zora listens to music and do cartwheels, Jason sits down to build . . . tunnels. Not sand castles, but tunnels. He could just be showing an early passion for engineering, but it seems more like Jason is channeling his connection to the subterranean dwelling the Tethered call home. The Closet Game An odd thing about Pluto is that he doesn't seem too keen on wanting to kill Jason (at least right away). Gabe's father gets beat up pretty much immediately, Adelaide is chained to a table and threatened with death, and Zora's double literally chases her down with scissors. But Pluto and Jason sit down in the vacation house's closet for a mirroring game, matching each others' exact movements rather than opting for bloodshed. They share a bond the other pairs do not. Image Source: Universal Pluto's Death As we see in the closet, whatever Jason does, Pluto mimics. When you take into account that the Tethered's origins are as a failed experiment to control the un-Tethered population up in the real world by the government, maybe Jason (the real Tethered) has more control over Pluto (the original Jason) than we might think. It would certainly explain how Jason is able to manipulate his deformed doppelgänger into stepping backwards into a fiery car wreck, ending his life. The Mask After Adelaide defeats Red in the tunnels and escapes outside to drive her family south to Mexico, she looks over at Jason in the passenger seat with a smile that can easily be interpreted as conspiratorial. As he lovingly strokes (hmm . . . ) in his lap, he shoots her a suspicious look and then pulls the werewolf mask back down over his head. "At the end, he has realized that his mother, at one point, has also switched bodies," hoopsterben writes. "She gives him a look almost like 'I also know what you know' and then he puts on his mask, as a symbol of the masks they will now wear for the rest of their lives." Related: Still not convinced? An alternate headline I really wanted to use for this article was "The One Where Emma Geller-Green Grows Up to Be Two Demonic, Murderous Lab Experiments From a Mysterious Underground Facility," but sadly that was far too long. So, instead, I'll just go ahead and get right to it: the twin actresses who play both disaffected teens in Jordan Peele's latest horror flick, Us, also happen to be on back in the day. Pretty wild, right? Noelle and Cali Sheldon are now 16 years old, and although they've appeared in since the beloved NBC sitcom ended in 2004, their upcoming role in Peele's film has brought them back into the spotlight. Without spoiling too much about Us, the Sheldon sisters play Lindsey and Becca, the eye-rolling, internet-obsessed twin teenage daughters of 's character Kitty. But because director Jordan Peele wanted to ensure that none of us would ever sleep again, he also has them playing evil doppelgängers who are prone to shrieking and doing gymnastics routines that are both impressive AND terrifying. There's still no word on whether or not like Emma was, though. Image Source: NBC Noelle and Cali announced their involvement in the film a few months back when they on , detailing how excited they are to be a part of the film. They've since posted plenty of adorable photos with their costars in the film on social media and recently attended the glitzy Us premiere in New York City. As for what's next for the girls? According to , Noelle locked down a role in an upcoming feature film titled Ham on Rye, which is due out in 2019, so you'll be able to see her on the big screen as a hopefully far less nightmarish character. But since they're just 16 and attending high school, there's still plenty of time for them to pop up in movies and TV shows in the future. "Our girls go to a normal school, and they go on auditions once in a while," Noelle and Cali's mother Gretchen Carpenter in 2015. "But we don't make it our top priority." In the meantime, check out photos of Noelle and Cali all grown-up ahead! Related:

New Jersey's North Bergen high school drama club is putting my 2010 production of Cinderella to shame. The talented students staged an incredible production of Alien this past week, and it quickly got the attention of Hollywood stars. Without funding from their school, the drama club assembled elaborate props and set designs using fully recyclable materials and brought the 1979 movie's plot to life. Yes, they even tackled that iconic chest bursting scene. After videos of the production went viral on Twitter, celebrities like , Busy Philipps, and Adam Scott applauded the students for their unbelievable effort. Watch a trailer for the play above, and then keep reading to get a peek at the incredible detailed performance. These kids are going places! Related:

Let's get this out of the way right now: the is a wild ride, in the best way possible. Despite a few issues in its second season - that messy standalone episode in Chicago, for instance - both seasons of Netflix's sci-fi darling have been beloved by fans, and it seems season three will be no different. From the Upside Down to the brand-new mall that has been erected in the middle of Hawkins, the new footage gives us our first real look at what Mike, Will, Eleven, and the rest of the gang have been up to since we last saw them escaping a battle with the Mind Flayer with their lives. There's also the sight of our favorite parents, Hopper and Joyce, as well as Nancy and Jonathan waiting for a meeting at The Hawkins Post. Oh, and there's a seriously freaky new monster in the mix. Since trouble for our favorite band of monster-fighting kids is far from over, we took it upon ourselves to examine the trailer, frame by frame. Keep scrolling to see what we found, then take a look at in anticipation of the show's July 4 premiere. Related:

The gang's all here! The reunited on Thursday to celebrate Little Sebastian's life the 10th anniversary of the beloved sitcom's premiere, and we're feeling overcome with nostalgia. Pawnee's finest left Indiana and traveled to Los Angeles for PaleyFest, a television festival that connects fans with the stars of their favorite shows. Although Ben Schwartz wasn't there (Perhaps he was too busy trying to resurrect Jean-Ralphio's Entertainment 720 business?), the rest of the crew was present, including , Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Retta, Adam Scott, Aziz Ansari, , and Jim O'Heir. The former costars dressed like for the special evening. Poehler went full Leslie Knope in a bright orange blazer and matching pants, while Nick Offerman looked dapper in a suit, and Retta stole the show in a pink dress embroidered with "Treat Yo'Self" as a nod to Donna Meagle's most famed saying. They joined cocreator Michael Schur on stage at the Dolby Theater for a panel to share behind-the-scenes stories and chat about . Although many of the cast members said they're fully on board with the idea of rebooting the NBC series, it looks like Schur's currently a bit too tied up with other shows to concoct another storyline. Our fingers are crossed that his schedule frees up ASAP so he can bring our favorites back to the small screen. Keep reading to see all the epic photos from the Parks and Rec cast reunion at PaleyFest - including a frame-worthy selfie that's sure to remind you of . Related:
