Iron Fist Takes on Daredevil’s War in Season 2 Synopsis

TV

A synopsis for the second season of Marvel’s Iron Fist reveals that the former defender of K’un-Lun will take on a new responsibility — defending New York City in the absence of its protector, Daredevil. The synopsis was released just after the first trailer for Iron Fist Season 2 was revealed after the Marvel Television Iron Fist panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego.

The official synopsis reads:

“Season 2 furthers the transformation of Danny, a character with a fish out of water coming of age story making his way in a harsh new world, battling to work out who he is. This season, Danny has promised that with Matt Murdock gone, he will step up and protect his city. But a sinister plot twist threatens his very identity and he must conquers his villains to protect the town and people he holds close to his heart.”

Daredevil has not been seen since he seemingly sacrificed himself trying to keep The Hand clan from acquiring dragon bones at Midland Circle in The Defenders miniseries. A post-credits sequence revealed that the hero was being cared for by nuns at an undisclosed location. It sounds like Iron Fist will be filling in for the hero when Iron Fist Season 2 kicks off.
