If the clothes, soundtrack, and blatantly obvious placement of a Blockbuster in the first few seconds of the trailer weren't enough to let you know that Captain Marvel is set in the '90s, the movie's Twitter account has one more trick up its proverbial sleeve.
On Feb. 28, the Twitter account posted a series of Magic Eye images that are supposed to reveal something interesting about each major character (yes, Goose the cat is a major character). For those who aren't familiar, Magic Eye is a book series published in the early '90s by N.E. Thing Enterprises that feature autostereograms. Supposedly, all it takes is diverging your eyes in order to see the hidden 3D image within the pattern, but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with a deal with the devil, because I've personally never figured them out.
Nowadays, the term Magic Eye is used for pretty much any autostereograms, but whatever name you slap on them, they basically all result in a spark of rage or smugness depending on what you see (or don't see, I guess). In true Magic Eye tradition, I won't reveal what images you're supposed to see, and just let you seethe quietly while you try to figure it out. Enjoy!
