Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey's New Thriller Looks Deeply Uncomfortable

Movies

Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey have reunited four years after Christopher Nolan's existential Interstellar for another stressful-as-hell movie. In Serenity, a very blond Hathaway asks a rugged McConaughey to murder her abusive husband, played by Chappaquiddick's Jason Clarke, by dropping him smack dab in the ocean, much to the delight of any nearby sharks. Having fun yet? The trailer also features a mysterious man with a briefcase, several ominous shots of blood, and a Lost-like vibe that hints not all on the island is as it seems.

Serenity is scheduled to be released later this year on Jan. 25. Watch the deeply agitating — and still kind of sexy? Just me? — new trailer above, then check out the first footage ahead.
