In addition to plenty of new spooky programming — including a series exploring real-life paranormal encounters and a 10-episode thriller that might just become the scariest show on TV — Netflix's new and returning original TV shows for October have us all sorts of excited. With a list that includes the hotly anticipated second installment of Making a Murderer and the Riverdale spinoff, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, here are 28 shows to binge-watch this October.

In a follow-up to the original four-part docuseries, which traced hip-hop's evolution from the 1970s through the 1990s, this new season will explore the growth of hip-hop subcultures in New York, the South, and Oakland, CA, in the '80s and '90s, hosted by Canadian rapper Shad Kabango (better known as Shad K.).

Based on the 1989 Japanese video game of the same name, the second installment of this animated series will be twice the length of the first (which was only four episodes) and will continue where the first season left off, with Dracula's son, Alucard, joining forces with former foe Trevor to take down his father.

This new series will get the Riverdale treatment, offering a dark new twist on the original Archie comic book character Sabrina as she is forced to choose between the human world and the witch world as her 16th birthday nears. Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men's Sally Draper) will lead the cast as the titular Sabrina Spellman.
